The Last Buffalo in the Park has a 11.5% Alcohol-By-Volume (ABV) and a 40 IBUS. Its current retail price is is around $25 to $30 depending on the local craft beer shop that carries it. When the Last Buffalo in the Park is available in season it can be acquired at the Funky Buddha Brewery in South Florida, or at some of the following Tampa Bay Craft Beer Stores.
I have had the opportunity to have the Last Buffalo in the Park out of the bottle a few times and even off the tap at Willard’s Tap House in Largo, FL. I can honestly say it is truly delicious. It is a clear stand out in taste, smell and overall quality. This barrel-aged imperial porter is a must try to any craft beer lover.
The appearance of Last Buffalo in the Park is jet black and viscous. Giving off a slightly smoother viscosity than motor oil. Usually, the darker the better in most cases for imperial porters.
The smell is amazing! Extremely sweet candy scent notes followed by coconut and a soften whiskey finish. The smell is debatably my favorite part of the Last Buffalo in the Park.
The Last Buffalo in the Park is easily one of the best imperial porters you will ever taste. Giving off hints of chocolate, coconut, vanilla, and coffee. All topped off with a bourbon finish.
The Last Buffalo in the Park provides a full bodied mouthfeel of warmth, cream, and bold whiskey sensation.
Personally, this is one of the best barrel-aged imperial porters I have ever had in my life. If not the best! That is the reason why I gave this craft beer behemoth such a high rated score. The Last Buffalo in the Park is a very rare beer, and can only be found in the South Florida area during the right time of the season. Or you could do a beer trade with someone online in order to find one. My recommendation is to buy a few and save some for special occasions.10/10
